Prayer for Priests and Deacons

Lord Jesus Christ,
You who have blessed these men to serve You as priests
in the Church of the third millennium, give them each day
the grace to be faithful to Your call. You, the Lord of the harvest,
teach them to be always faithful to the gift of the priesthood,
teach them to grow in pastoral charity
by an increasingly Eucharistic life,
teach them to constantly say with Mary and Martin:
“Fiat, Thy will be done”, so that they may become more fully the pastors the world needs.

Amen.

Prayer for Seminarians

Lord Jesus Christ,
You, who constantly call men
to serve you as priests
in the Church of the third millennium,
give the men to whom you address your call
the audacity to respond.
You, the Lord of the harvest
teach them to follow you without reserve,
teach them to keep your Word faithfully,
teach them to love the Eucharist,
teach them to say with Mary and Martin:
“Fiat, thy will be done”,
so that they may become
the shepherds the world needs.

Amen.

Say a prayer for priests
